Abstract:
The digital scholarly edition "Fernando Pessoa. Projects and Publications" was originally created in 2014, as part of a collaborative project between the Institute for the Study of Literature and Tradition (IELT) at the New University of Lisbon and the Cologne Center for eHumanities (CCeH) at the University of Cologne. Since the first publication of the online platform in 2017, not only has the corpus been expanded, but important changes in standardization and best practices in digital editions have been considered. Among these changes is the creation of Text+, an NFDI consortium with the goal of developing a research data infrastructure for language and text-based research. As part of the collaborative projects funded by Text+, in 2023 the Pessoa Digital team carried out a partial update of the project's technical infrastructures to better comply with best practices for sustainable development of digital editions. This presentation will focus on the work carried out during this period, discussing the significance of the changes implemented and how they fit into the Text+ infrastructure.
Kurzbio:
Fernanda Alvares Freire ist wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin an der Universität Rostock und arbeitet an der Juniorprofessur von Dr. Ulrike Henny-Krahmer im Bereich der Digitalen Geisteswissenschaften. Nach dem Abschluss ihres Bachelor- und Masterstudiums in Geschichte an der Universität Brasília promovierte sie von 2018 bis 2023 in Alter Geschichte an der Universität Münster, wobei sich ihre Dissertation derzeit im Publikationsprozess befindet.
Als Historikerin mit dem Schwerpunkt Alte Geschichte und einem hohen Interesse an den Digital Humanities kombiniert sie in ihrer Forschung klassische historische Ansätze mit der Anwendung digitaler Methoden wie der sozialen Netzwerkanalyse, Data Mining und allgemeinen Ansätzen zur Datenverwaltung und -exploration. Seit Mai 2024 ist sie ebenfalls als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin des NFDI-Konsortiums Text+ an der Technischen Universität Darmstadt tätig.
