My work on the "Uwe Johnson-Werkausgabe (The Complete Works of Uwe Johnson) of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities at the University of Rostock" gives me the ideal opportunity to combine my professional experience in archives, museums, and publishing with my enduring research interest in the life and works of Uwe Johnson. My role as Deputy Director is to coordinate the work of all those who have a part to play in the editorial process. In addition, my responsibilities also include developing a future-proof concept for the digital edition and undertaking editorial work for individual volumes.

I studied at the Free University of Berlin, and completed my doctoral thesis on Uwe Johnson in 2002. My first academic position was with the Theodor Fontane Archive in Potsdam. After that I curated the first permanent exhibition at the German Literature Archive Marbach, in the "Museum of Modern Literature" (German: Literaturmuseum der Moderne) in 2006. From 2006 through 2013, I worked at Akademie Verlag publishing house in Berlin, where I was resonsible as academic editor for the area of German Studies and a series of academic textbooks. Since July 2014, I have been the Deputy Director of the Academy’s long term research project, the "Uwe Johnson-Werkausgabe".
