Profile

Since November 2021, I have been working as a Research Associate in the Research Project "Uwe Johnson-Werkausgabe (The Complete Works of Uwe Johnson) of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities at the University of Rostock". I am responsible for editorial and text-critical work on printed volumes of the edition of Uwe Johnson in the department "Werke" (fictional novels and stories). My work in the project includes research, annotation of texts, evaluation of archival materials, collation, and critical text compilation. In addition, I work on the digital edition in managing and preparing materials and marking texts using XML.

CV

After studying German Studies and Philosophy at Ruhr-University Bochum, I obtained my doctorate at the same University with a thesis about Uwe Johnson. During my studies, I focused on studying foreign languages, which allowed me to work as a DAAD lecturer at Nanjing University in China after my doctorate. Upon returning to Germany, I worked at the FOM German-Sino School of Business & Technology, before dedicating myself to Uwe Johnson once again as a research assistant at the Uwe Johnson Research Center from 2019 onwards. Additionally, I taught several semesters in Modern German Literary Studies at the University of Rostock. Apart from Uwe Johnson, my interests also lie in Intercultural German Studies.
