ToolingDrama develops and consolidates digital tools for computational drama analysis for use in university teaching. Building on existing applications and software packages such as Katharsis, DramaAnalysis, rdracor, and pydracor, the project evaluates their accessibility and suitability together with students, identifies technical and didactic barriers, and adapts selected tools for more sustainable and low-threshold use. Particular attention is given to portability, usability across operating systems, integration into humanities teaching, and the connection between digital methods and subject-specific research questions. The resulting tools and documentation are intended for continued use in teaching and independent student research and will be made openly available for reuse.

The project is part of the research conducted by the Professorship for Digital Humanities under the direction of RosDH members Ulrike Henny-Krahmer and Erik Renz.
