TheoLab-Workshop

On September 14th and 15th, 2023, the two board members of the Department of Knowledge – Culture – Transformation (WKT), Prof. Dr. Soham Al-Suadi and Jun.-Prof. Dr. Ulrike Henny-Krahmer, will participate in the workshop "Computational Theology: Methods – Practices – Perspectives" at the University of Heidelberg. The workshop is organized on-site by TheoLab, but also provides the opportunity to attend a keynote and a panel virtually via Zoom.

The aim of the workshop is to provide a comprehensive overview of the subjects, methods, and practices of Digital Humanities and to highlight their potential for various theological disciplines. Special attention will be given to the development of a compendium for Computational Theology. To this end, authors from theological departments will have the opportunity to collectively discuss the practices of Digital Humanities and their influence on the field of theology.
