How can texts be systematically annotated, analysed, and visualised? This practice-oriented workshop introduces participants to the fundamentals of digital manual annotation and provides hands-on experience with the CATMA software. Participants will explore the central functionalities of CATMA, from setting up a project and creating annotations to analysing and visualising textual data. No prior knowledge is required. Participants are welcome to bring their own textual materials for use in the workshop, particularly texts relevant to their current research.

Participation in the workshop is free of charge. To register, please send an email to dh.wktuni-rostockde. Participants are also asked to bring their own laptop, as CATMA cannot be used on tablets.
In preparation for the workshop, all participants are asked to register with CATMA in advance at https://catma.de/ and to send their username by email to dh.wktuni-rostockde. This will allow a shared project to be set up beforehand so that the practical work can begin immediately on the day of the workshop.
